In the last 20 years, developments in information and communication technologies in the world have increased competition in the global arena. Under these conditions, the Department of International Trade and Logistics provides students with practical thinking and problem-solving skills with applied analytical approaches in the international marketing, trade and logistics sector. It aims to prepare students for business life as creative individuals who can produce optimal solutions for exporters and internationalized businesses and logistics companies. The most important feature of the International Trade and Logistics Department is that it combines theory and practice with a multidisciplinary approach. In this context, students in the Department of International Trade and Logistics will not only be equipped with theoretical knowledge throughout their education life. On the contrary, with the contributions of the academic staff who have put their theoretical and academic knowledge into practice and the business partners of the Department of International Trade and Logistics, students are trained with the approach of an Apprentice-Foreman-Master. The major achievements of our students are that the Department of International Trade combines theory and practice with a multi-disciplinary approach and teaches with an Apprentice-Foreman-Master approach. Our students, who graduated from the Department of International Trade and Logistics by combining theory and practice with a multi-disciplinary approach, will be able to find a job in the following fields. These: Management positions in the marketing departments of international and multinational enterprises. Management positions in the international marketing and trade departments of exporting and importing firms. Customs clearance personnel positions in firms providing customs clearance services. Management positions in firms providing international logistics services. Management positions in international seaway, airway, road and railway transportation firms. Management positions in Cargo and Courier firms. Management positions in all other branches of business. As can be seen from the examples described above, the International Trade and Logistics career offers a wide variety of important managerial opportunities for our graduates. The fact that the international trade and logistics sector is a rapidly developing and expanding business area and the limited number of well-trained foreign language-speaking personnel in this field expands the employment opportunities of our graduates. At this point, KTO Karatay University International Trade and Logistics Department has additional advantages compared to the related departments of other universities due to the following differences. The reasons that create these differences and advantages are as follows: 1. Students of the Department of International Trade and Logistics have the opportunity to learn a second foreign language in addition to practice English at a high level. 2. In addition to their domestic and international academic studies, the lecturers in the International Trade and Logistics Department consist of academicians who have come from the real export-import and logistics sector activities. 3. The education program is organized as theory, case study and annual internship. Thus, the student is both equipped with the latest theoretical knowledge and shown how to use this knowledge in the virtual world with the case study method. From the third year, the education circle is completed by the student doing an internship in a company during the semester. Thus, international trade and logistics personnel who knows their subject and can do basic applications on the day of graduation can be trained. 4. During the education process, courses and practices are carried out by using information technologies. Logistics and customs clearance software related to international trade are shown in practice. Information systems in international trade are taught to students in a practical way based on competitive intelligence. In addition, computer-based tools are used at the highest level in educational activities in the department. 5. In the Department of International Trade and Logistics, after the first two years of business-based education, specific education and training for international trade is focused on from the 3rd year. 6. By adding elective courses to the education curriculum, it is aimed to increase flexibility to education and to meet the demands of students and the needs of the business world. Apart from basic education, the students are free to take the elective courses they want to specialize in. 7. Students have the right to study in a double major. 8. Our faculty, which aims to provide education at international standards, carries out various exchange programs with partner universities at home and abroad. In this context, with the ERASMUS program, both students and faculty members are provided with education and experience in EU countries. As a result, the Department of International Trade and Logistics, which provides application-oriented teaching with the theory and practice, and the Apprentice-Foreman-Master approach, promises to train you in a way that you can apply international trade and logistics into the export and import process and foreign trade transactions on the day you graduate.
