The Konya Chamber of Commerce (KTO) Karatay University Smart Technologies Center (AKİTEK) has been awarded funding under the Pathways to Synergies call of the Horizon Europe program for its "Mobilizing Advanced Partnerships for Digital Innovation and Transformation" (MAPIT) project.

AKİTEK's "Mobilizing Advanced Partnerships for Digital Innovation and Transformation" (MAPIT) project, which is part of the Pathways to Synergies call of the Horizon Europe program, has been awarded funding with a budget of approximately €1.16 million. The project is one of about 20 projects supported across the European Union under the relevant call, and it is the only project funded from Turkey under this scope.

“We Are Among the Few Projects Supported by the European Union”

AKİTEK project manager and KTO Karatay University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering academician Dr. Barış Samim Nesimioğlu said that they are proud to be among the few projects supported by the European Union. “The fact that our project, which is supported with a budget of approximately €1.16 million, is among the few projects supported by the European Union is a great source of success and honor for us. In addition, with the awareness of the responsibility of being the only project funded from Turkey under this call, we aim for our project to make significant contributions to our country, especially to AKİTEK and our university, by reaching the targeted outputs. In this context, I would like to thank and congratulate all my team members and consortium members for their efforts.”

KTO Karatay University Rector Prof. Dr. Fevzi Rifat Ortaç stated that they hope to contribute to Turkey's digital transformation and innovation with the project and said “The fact that the project submitted by the consortium of which AKİTEK is a member under the Pathways to Synergies call of the Horizon Europe program is among the projects selected across the European Union and that it is the only project funded in Turkey under this scope is a great source of pride for our university and our country.
