Alongside weekly presentations and practice assignments, issues and ethical issues faced by photographers will also be covered. Students will prepare a photography project during the semester and will gain the skill of creating new expression styles with photography using light and creating the photographic frame with the awareness of new ways of seeing. Content : History of photography in general terms, single-lens and dual-lens cameras, camera control systems: shutter speed, aperture, depth of field, relationship between shutter speed and aperture, composition in photography, taking portraits, urban and nature photographs. Photographic vision, ethical issues in photography and image manipulation.
